AVIWEST launches the PRO3 Series, the
fourth generation of its flagship backpacksized video uplink system. It's the perfect
solution for on-the-go newsgathering, live
multi-camera productions, and sports.

Live Delivery on Location
With the AVIWEST state-of-the-art bonded
cellular transmission solutions, the PRO3
is the cost-effective alternative to satellite
transmission without compromise on
robustness and video quality. Live or filebased production from any location in the
world is now possible without the deployment
of bulky and costly vehicles, regardless of
network conditions.
Indeed, when conducting live interviews,
today's broadcasters have to deliver amazing
video quality. Yet, given the unpredictability
of video delivery over unmanaged networks,
this can be a challenge. In many cases, live
reporting is done outside the studio. When
on the go, journalists need video delivery
solutions that are compact and portable,
ensuring they can quickly get to where they
need to be and broadcast live instantly. And,
as they aim to deliver broadcast-grade video

Portable and Feature Packed
The PRO3 is a lightweight solution that
can be mounted directly on the pro-camera
or carried in a smart designed backpack. It
can synchronously backhaul multiple live
feeds with perfect genlock and lip sync
for multicamera, remote, and at-home
productions.
Using the PRO3 Series, video producers
and news organizations can seamlessly
stream live HD 1080p50/60 interviews and
events, and store and forward recorded
content. The video uplink system features a
compact, portable, and robust design, along
with a comprehensive set of interfaces and
functionalities (SDI in and out, HDMI in and
out, and analogue audio in). Featuring an
extremely powerful next-generation H.265/
HEVC hardware encoder, the PRO3 Series
offers premium video quality with significant
bitrates reduction, typically 30% compared to
other HEVC solutions.
On top of live broadcasting, broadcasters
also have the option to record a premiumquality video file and forward it progressively
to the remote receiver while recording.

allowing the professional to stay ahead of the
competition.
On the transmission side, the PRO3 features
up to 12 network connections including eight
embedded worldwide compliant cellular
3G/4G-LTE modems with patented highefficiency custom antenna arrays, plus a
USB 3.0 port and built-in Wi-Fi modem. By
detecting and bonding together multiple IP
network interfaces, the PRO3 Series enables
users to take advantage of every IP network
in their immediate area as they become
available. All of this is automatically managed
by the AVIWEST SafeStreams® technology,
an intelligent IP-bonding stack and powerful
contribution network protocol. SafeStreams®
assures the delivery of live transmissions
over the Internet with minimum delay (as
low as 500 ms) and maximum Quality of
Services. The PRO3 Series definitely makes it
easy for journalists to conduct live interviews
and events even in the midst of unpredictable
and unmanaged network conditions, from any
location around the world.

Seamless Integration
Another key benefit of the PRO3 Series is its
simplicity and ease of use. The PRO3 Series
features a SIP-based intercom to simplify
communications between the master control
room in the broadcaster premises and remote
transmitter operators in the field. Moreover,
the PRO3 Series features a user-friendly
intuitive interface that allows broadcasting live
videos in just two taps on the touchscreen.

PRO3 integrates a
H.265/HEVC encoder

Its large panel of interfaces and
functionalities make it the perfect tool for

system and StreamHub transceivers, the
