explains that this year's BroadcastAsia marks a turning point for the company,
as it celebrates its 50th anniversary in the broadcast industry...

t the event, Magna Systems will present
its widest ever array of IP-based content
contribution, content distribution, UHD
production, workflow and monitoring solutions
on stand 4M2-01.
As the Asia-Pacific region increasingly looks
for clever and efficient IP-based broadcasting
and production solutions, Magna Systems will
not only be demonstrating them in partnership
with their key technology principals, but
also highlighting its 50 years as a systems
integration specialist in the broadcast industry.
With their history set very firmly in the early
days of television and the broadcast industry,

Production System (RPS). This clever

production trucks and large production
crews, TVU RPS allows broadcasters
to leverage their existing studio control
room infrastructure and a public internet
connection from any venue to deliver frame
accurate, genlocked and synchronised
multi-camera remote production. TVU RPS
is comprised of one rack-mount transmitter
(encoder) and one rack-mount receiver
(decoder). It features an easy-to-use web
interface for monitoring and controlling all
aspects of the transmission, including realtime previews of all six channels, current
bit-rate and latency. The TVU RPS transmitter
can encode up to six synchronised SDI
sources and transmit high-quality and low

latency IP video to the TVU receiver, which in
turn outputs six synchronised SDI outputs.

Workflow and Monitoring
Alongside these will be Tag Video Systems
showing their MCM-9000 software-based IP
monitoring solution combined with a stateof-the-art IP Multiviewer for all broadcast
layers to include un-compressed 2022-6/7
& 2110; JPEG2000 TR-01; MPEG2/4/HEVC
Transport Steams and OTT. An UHD or HD
video mosaic output of the monitored services
with rich data and overlaid alerts is viewable
from anywhere including on mobile devices.
With over 300 preset errors and events, full
ETR 290 and ATSC, baseband analysis, SNMP
traps, syslog, email alerts with detailed event
information and various notification types
displayed on multiple mosaic layouts, the
MCM-9000 solution is at the top of its game.
Also in monitoring you'll see demonstrations
from Bridge Technologies as they highlight
their advanced solutions for protecting
service quality in the digital media and
telecommunications
industries.
