or the first time in Asia, Stagetec Asia is
introducing Nexus IP boards XFIP & RIF67,
of which its recommendation is based on AIMS
roadmap with the SMPTE ST 2110 standard,
and our next generation of IP distributed
remote control - AVATUS.

Game Changer for
Console Development
The AVATUS concept was first introduced at
the beginning of 2017 and is now ready for
its first showcase in the Asia region. Having
premiered at IBC, the AVATUS has been well
received with remarkable commendations
from visitors, notably on its innovative
IP-based connection, and user-friendly
operations due to its highly flexible interface.
The boundless functions featured in the
AVATUS gives an excellent impression of the
intuitive workflow with an oriented operation.
The console's multi touchscreens are the
ultimate game changer for Stage Tec's
console development, as the screens are able
to operate and access all required functions
with just a single-finger touch.
The displayed screen is a 'screen-based
workflow' that only portrays selective,
relevant and related functions for an easy
overview workflow. New features also include
the colour-coded faders and rotary encoders,
which enable a rapid and intuitive operation.

The motorised faders are highly sensitive
to touch which allows for instantaneous
feedback to the users. Coupled with the
decentralised mode of operation, dispensing
with the centre section gives users the
ultimate flexibility in system configuration
to cater for any need in a multi-operation
environment.
Foremost,
the
main
revolutionised
technology adopted by AVATUS is connected
via an IP-based network, which provides TCP/
IP connectivity for integration into a network
and allows for distributed placement for
remote productions. AVATUS comes with
a new sleek design, beautiful coloured LED
faders and touchscreens, and integrates
seamlessly into the NEXUS audio router,
giving a flexible and limitless concept.

AES67 and Ravenna Support
Stage Tec's Router Interface AES67
(RIF67) is the latest board for the NEXUS
audio router.
It is the most powerful solution that works in
open standard protocol AES67 to connect an

AoIP network with the NEXUS system. Using
AES67.IO modules employed on the RIF67
board ensure the best support for AES67
and Ravenna standards, with options for
future expansion and requirement.
Similarly, a new board - Nexus Fibre and IP
Interface (XFIP) - is equivalent to the Nexus
Base Devices and is an alternative option for
small cost-effective audio networks without
a Nexus Star. Both of the boards implement
the AES67.IO module as a result of the
partnership with DirectOut and support
the approach of non-proprietary audio and
control networking. The module enables
powerful audio networks to be created via
an audio over IP
connection.
