eaturing a portable design, ATEM Television
Studio Pro 4K is packed with high end
broadcast features that make it possible to
create an entire live switched programme,
complete with effects and transitions.
The hardware panel features large
illuminated buttons for switching between
sources, along with corresponding audio
buttons, one touch transition buttons,
downstream keyers, fade to black, media
player, cut buttons and more. There's also
a built-in LCD screen for previewing source
and programme video, a spin knob and

additional buttons for menus and to adjust
settings. Customers simply press the button
for the source that they want to see next
in the programme, then hit the cut or auto
button to switch sources, add effects, or even
key in graphics. ATEM Television Studio Pro
4K gives customers true broadcast quality
transitions, effects and graphics. Transitions
such as mixes, wipes and dips are done by
simply pressing a button on the control panel.
There are 37 included transitions, giving
customers massive creative options because
they can customise things such as border,

border colour and width, position,
direction and more.
In addition, there's a built-in 2D DVE
for adding digital video effects that can
position, resize and scale live video, all in
real time. That means customers can create
professional picture-in-picture effects, use
DVE powered transitions like squeeze and
slide between sources, or create graphic
wipe transitions with their own graphics.
As well as eight independent 12G-SDI
inputs and built-in Fairlight audio mixer, the
switcher also includes an ATEM Advanced

MCX7000 Multi-Carrier Satellite Gateway

This dense platform is able to function
as a quadruple modulator or modem with
dual demodulators, ideal where density and
power consumption is at stake, while the
optional Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
encryption of the baseband frames gives full
protection for closed networks.
With future-thinking technologies built in,
the MXC7000 is paving the way to providing
customers with the Ultra-High Definition
(UHD) programming they demand, in a cost-

effective and efficient way. The platform can
increase bandwidth efficiency by up to 51
percent, with Channel Bonding being one
method of optimisation.
Using DVB-S2X, this technique splits a large
transport stream into two or three parts over
the satellite, circumventing the bandwidth
limitation of a standard Ku-band transponder.
It then recomposes it on the receiver side,
combining multiple carriers into one, making
it large enough to maintain the efficiency gain
of statistical multiplexers on a bouquet of
UHD channels.
