2018 come at a good time for the media
industry? Why?
Ludmil Kushinov: We are living in a time
when Internet and mobile devices are
revolutionising the TV market. The traditional
TV is stepping behind the modern digital,
social, mobile and multiscreen TV. More and
more people own and use to stream video
content to their TV set. And we, being both
industry representatives and customers,
should stay up-to-date with these new
trends. That's exactly what summits like this

are giving us.
BroadcastAsia is also taking place at the
same time as FIFA World Cup which has
always been a technology driver. Four years
ago, 218 million people watched the World
Cup online. This year, the numbers will
definitely increase.
BCA: What do you think are the key
developments in, or threats to, your market
sector at the current time?
LK: The sector is moving forward to IP. That
is why we have implemented NDI, RTMP and
other IP protocols in most of our products.
The threats are mostly for those who are
not following the new trends for online
broadcasting and on-demand content. They
are losing market share and revenue.
BCA: How is the company positioning
itself for the future of broadcasting?

LK: X-Pert Multimedia Solutions (www.xpert.tv) is a new company, although it is
based on well-known ATHENSA products.
Our product portfolio includes UHD/
HD/SD-SDI and IP streaming solutions,
disaster recovery, multi playout, remote
control and monitoring, Ad Insertion and
scheduling solutions which are very flexible
and scalable. It's very easy to update them
to address the latest trends. Our products
support NDI, RTMP and other IP protocols.
BCA: Why should delegates visit your

the latest updates of our product portfolio
- playout, graphics, ingest, channel-in-abox, catalog, and studio. On display is a
standalone ATHENSA Graphics, based on
NDI; hardware HEVC and H.264 encoding

accelerated by NVIDIA Quadro based boards.
A single CPU systemable to do 4K streaming
with HEVC and H.264.
There is also a monochrome broadcast
feature specially made for Thailand, and
certification of the latest i7 Intel core
processor.
