Leader Launches SDI/IP Products
for True Hybrid T&M

eader Electronics Corporation is celebrating
its 65th anniversary by introducing the
LV5600 true hybrid IP and SDI waveform
monitor and LV7600 rasteriser equivalent.
"Leader has helped many broadcasters and
broadcast-equipment manufacturers manage
their migration from analogue to digital,
from standard definition to high definition,
and from standard dynamic range to high
dynamic range," said the company's
president, Kozo Nagao.
The Leader LV5600 is a mainspowered SDI/IP waveform monitor

in a half-rack width 3U desktop chassis with
a touchscreen front panel display. It provides
all the facilities needed to seamlessly monitor
UHD/HD/SD-SDI as well as video over IP.
The LV5600 includes a broad set of
engineering-related features including test
pattern generation, eye pattern display, jitter
measurement, closed-caption monitoring,
CIE colour chart, HDR measurement, focus

LV7600 has a 1U form-factor for rack or desk mounting

assist, customisable screen layout, tally
interface, 4K/UHD operation, 10G IP input
and 12G-SDI interfaces.
SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE 2022-7 and the
recently published SMPTE 2110 are all
supported. The LV5600 also incorporates
Leader's intuitive CINEZONE and CINELITE.
The LV7600 rasteriser offers exactly the
same capabilities as the LV5600, but in a
low-profile 19-inch 1U form-factor for easy
rack or desk mounting.
"Most broadcasters now recognise the
potential of video over IP both within their
studio facilities and for long distance
content delivery," said Kozo Nagao.

a new solution that further extends the
range of filming environments for the Samsung
360 Round camera, offering even more
protection from the elements for creators.
"Samsung approached MSE last year as
they began the initial field testing of their new
virtual reality camera with IP65 certification,"
said Tyler Phillips, VP, Matthews Studio
Equipment. "They needed a support system
that provided flexible mounting options and
could withstand the rigours of extended
outdoor shooting in extreme environments."

system with flexible mounting options,
low centre of gravity and small footprint

to minimise nadir hole obstruction while
maintaining rock-solid stability.
When paired with Samsung's 360 Round,
which captures true 4Kx4K 360-degree
footage, users can record, edit and livestream
complete VR video and audio anywhere.
360 Round features a unibody chassis and
compact design and is IP65 dust and water
resistant.

who need a highly portable, high-quality
professional VR camera that they can take
