IYUNO Selects Interra Systems' QC Solution
IYUNO has deployed Interra Systems' BATON® file-based QC
solution (Stand: 4T3-06) in Korea, the US, Malaysia, and Japan...

software-centric and automated solution,
BATON allows IYUNO to scale up its
operations very quickly without compromising
quality, performing a variety of video, audio,
and closed caption checks to ensure the
delivery of superior-quality, error-free content.
"Prior to installing BATON, we relied
on a manual QC process that was slow,
antiquated, and created numerous video
and audio errors since they could not be
easily detected by humans," said Stella Yoo,

BATON speeds up the process utilising
automation and allows us to deliver file-based
content with greater accuracy."
BATON provides IYUNO with comprehensive
quality checks, scalability, support for a wide
range of media formats, and an intuitive
web-based interface that makes it easy to
detect issues, including those related to
conformance checks, celecine issues, video/
audio dropouts, and audio click/pop, among

others. Since BATON is software-based, it's
very flexible and will be easy to integrate into
IYUNO's cloud-based infrastructure.
In particular, BATON supports a variety of
subtitle and closed-caption formats, both
embedded and stand-alone. Verification
includes dropouts, standards compliance,
profane word detection, and many others. By
allowing IYUNO to perform multi-language
checks of audio tracks, BATON enhances
audio experiences.

TL Systems is demonstrating its
Griffin Redundancy Switch and 64 x
64 Hurricane Matrix on its stand 1V303 at CommunicAsia 2018. The Griffin
series provides signal redundancy for
satellite modulators, downconverters, or
modems.
The flexible design of the chassis can house
up to two 2x1 redundancy switches, with a
choice of three switch modules - L-band, DC2500MHz and Asynchronous Serial Interface
(ASI) - available.
It can be populated with a single module
of any type or two modules of the same
type. It can be used in sync mode, enabling
switching to a standby path when an error
occurs. Or, alternatively, both modules
could be operated as standalone 2x1 (1x2)

Hurricane Matrix can handle multiple services

redundancy switches. ETL Systems is also
demonstrating its compact Hurricane Matrix,
which provides L-band routing for up to 64
input and output feeds.
It can handle multiple services, ensuring
each feed is distributed to the correct place,
whilst offering configurable inputs and
outputs so that each satellite feed can be
adapted with different features including
variable gain, optical fibre inputs and LNB
powering.
