The love coach
A newly-wed couple who fell in
love after meeting on a National
Express coach have been reunited
with the driver who took them on
the journey of their lives - a year
after they first met.
It was a case of coach aisle to
down the aisle for Geoff and
Patricia Lambert, who met on
7 May 2015 and married following
a fairytale whirlwind romance.
To mark their anniversary, and
in what is believed to be a first for
the company, National Express
named the fateful seats in the
couple's honour.
National Express was also able
to track down and arrange for the
same driver, Arron Slater, to
unveil the surprise. Geoff and

Patricia were left speechless as
the bespoke pink leather 'love
seats' on board the 250 service
from Stansted Airport to
Colchester were revealed - and
were delighted to see Arron, who
they recognised instantly.
But it was something of a
miracle they met at all.
CHANCE MEETING
At the time, Geoff and Patricia
were single and living on opposite
sides of the world - Geoff in
Auckland, New Zealand, and
Patricia in Colchester, Essex.
Geoff, 68, had been a widower
for almost three years while
Patricia, 66, was divorced in 2000.
