However, snapping selfies can make you happier according to scientists at the University of California, Irvine. Researchers asked three groups of students to document their moods when taking a selfie, a shot of something that made them happy and a picture they thought would make someone else happy. Positive moods increased in each group, but those in the selfie group reported becoming more confident over time.
