'A year after
joining Family
Action as a
Young Carers'
Case Co-ordinator in Manchester, I
completed the Aspiring Managers
programme - a year-long course,
which helped me to develop my
management skills and gave me the
opportunity and confidence to become
a Service Co-ordinator.
'I then decided to move across the
country, but not wanting to leave
the organisation, I spoke to HR who
helped find me a role in London. I am
now Project Manager of Islington and
Camden Young Carers' Service.
'I manage a team passionate about
making the lives of the families we
support the best they can be. Working
with people like this, and being able to
make real change for families, is what I
love about Family Action.'
