Support to get a job
or stay in work
Remploy transforms lives by finding sustainable employment for those with disabilities
employ is the UK's leading
disability specialist, with more
than 70 years' experience
delivering employment and skills support.
It has found more than 150,000 jobs
in mainstream employment for people
with a range of physical, sensory and
learning disabilities, mental health
conditions and other disadvantages.
Lee Jones, 22, turned a corner when
he was referred to Remploy for specialist
support. He had finished his education
and spent months trawling through
vacancies at his local Jobcentre Plus.
Lee, who has Asperger syndrome and a
speech disability, was continually
overlooked by potential employers, and his
confidence suffered with each rejection
letter he received.
Working alongside his Remploy adviser, he
added all his skills and experiences to his
CV, learned techniques to ensure he made
the best impression during interviews,
and was encouraged to apply for jobs that
really interested him. His confidence grew
and he started to see a future for himself.
"With Remploy behind me, I applied to
work at Tesco Extra and, following a twoweek trial, my job was then confirmed,"
Lee says. "I'm still on top of the world and
loving every minute. I meet new people
and chat to them as I go about my work,
which is something I'd previously have
found challenging. I have a reason to get
up in the morning - a sense of purpose."
Remploy has a long history of
supporting disabled people into work, and
helping employers to create a workplace
environment where all employees can
thrive and to recognise the benefit to their
business of employing disabled talent.
