BALANCE PROMOTION
LESS SUGAR MORE flavour
It used to be hard to find a tasty, high protein,
lower sugar snack. Welcome to the world of Nibble...
L
ooking for a high protein snack that is truly
healthy and delicious? Nibble Protein Bites tick
all the boxes. These yummy, high protein biscuity
bites are low GI, fibre rich, vegan, gluten
free AND they've got a fraction of the sugar of most
other bites and bars! They're made with deliciously
delicate low GI dried plums, too, ranked number 1 in
antioxidant power, so the flavours really pop.
Sorry, low GI? What's that then? GI - or the Glycemic
Index - measures how quickly carbs raise your blood
sugar levels. The lower the GI, the longer it takes for your
body to break down and absorb the food, which is a good
thing because it provides your brain, muscles and organs
with more sustained energy.
When you eat high GI foods, such as sweets, refined
carbs and many snack bars, you get a sugar rush which
triggers a quick release of insulin as your body tries to deal
with the sugar overload (unless you're using it immediately
via high intensity exercise). This is followed by a drop in
blood sugar levels, to lower than where you started. Cue
LONGER
exhaustion, moodiness, brain fog and hunger!
L A ST ING
From the outset, Nibble founder Erin Moroney was

Nibble had to be a dairy-free, lower sugar,
release their
low GI protein snack. Her friend Gudrun Jonsson,

having finally got the right balance with her own diet,
she became keen to spread the word.
BITE-SIZED BEAUTIES
Erin was passionate about not only creating a low GI snack,
but also a lower sugar option. On average, a bag of Nibble
contains just 6.5g of sugar. By using antioxidant-powerhouse
dried plums as a base (they contain at least 40% less sugar
than dates), Nibble keeps its sugar content to a minimum.
But thankfully, with Nibble there's no compromise on
taste - these little gems are more like yummy mini-biscuits.
Flavours include LEMON with coconut, CHOC CHIP COOKIE
with 72% dark chocolate, SOUR CHERRY with a hint of
orange, and MOCHA with cacao nibs (for a real caffeine hit).
