Contemporary culture has a knack
of dismissing the past - we're told
to look forward, value youth and
are always waiting to move on
to the next thing.
But even futurists admit the need
to look backwards before predicting
future trends and market movements.
Without reflecting on where we've been,
how can we know where we're heading?
Innovation typically comes from looking at an old problem in a new
light and finding a way to improve it. Since history has much to teach
us, we're dedicating this month's 80-page 'Back to the Future' issue to
health and wellbeing across the ages.
As an industry, wellness naturally embraces ancient traditions that
have stood the test of time - what's most exciting is to witness how
change-makers take these to the next level with the help of tech and
modern science. Perhaps the end really is in the beginning...
