rushing to get back to
the grind, take time
over your lunch,
advises Lucy. "Chew
things slowly and note
how it tastes. Perhaps
you could think about
where it comes from
and the person who
has grown and
harvested it for a
moment. Sharing food
is also a wonderful
ritual, and there's
nothing better to ease
a worried mind than
enjoying a meal in the
company of your close
friends or family."

for while you are
walking on your break.
"Focus on the little as
well as the big things:
your friends, family,
health, the sunshine or
having enough money

START BY LONDON FIELDS
Home to a Lido and Pub on the Park,
the route meanders across Mare
Street into residential roads and
down towards Victoria Park.
ENTER VICTORIA PARK
From the north side on Gore Road,
head in a north-east direction
along the footpath. Find a quiet
spot, or continue to the most
eastern corner. Take the footbridge
over the East Cross Route,
dropping down into Hackney Wick.
TAKE THE WALLIS FOOTBRIDGE
Cross the Lee Canal Towpath into
the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
and head past the Copperbox
Arena, which hosted the Handball
and Modern Pentathlon during the
2012 Olympics. Continue over the
River Lee and catch a glimpse of
the Lee Valley VeloPark, the site of
many heroic performances by the
GB Track Cycling squad.
STOP AT THE WETLANDS WALK
A peaceful area in the middle of
the Olympic Park to stop and catch
your breath.
RETURN ALONG THE SAME ROUTE
Head back to Victoria Park. Upon
entering, turn left and cruise down
to the south, past the Pavillion Cafe.
Exit on the south-west corner and
join the Regent's Canal Towpath.
CONTINUE ALONG THE TOWPATH
After a short while, you'll hit
Broadway Market, a vibrant place
to grab some lunch or an evening
meal, then drift north back in to
London Fields where you
can park up your bike.
