'I'M CERTAINLY NOT A FAN OF
BARE ROOMS... MINIMALISM IS
JUST NOT PRACTICAL, ESPECIALLY
IF THERE ARE KIDS AROUND'
is the key to having a systematic home
that works. But storage itself doesn't
solve the problem - you need to have
a system in place within it.
'Some people claim you cannot
have too much storage, but I think
you can. Remember, you need to be
able to fill it - sensibly.'
LESS IS MORE
A home where an owner's personality
is subtle but visible is charming and
unique. And according to Sarah, a
few high-quality items are better than
none at all - or a room full of tat.
'One or two items that mean
something to you and your family is
much better than lots of trinkets that
you don't need,' she says. 'Avoid clearing
away too much clutter, though - a er
all, it is meant to be a home.'
