Dry January is a great opportunity to recharge
your mind and body. By giving up alcohol for
31 days, Dry January participants reported
experiencing weight loss and improvements to
their sleep, energy levels and skin health. They
also reported having a healthier relationship with
alcohol following their booze-free month, with
many drinking less, even six months later. 'An
alcohol-free month helps you to hit the reset
button,' says GP Dr Toni Hazell.

National Heart Month, find out what your
blood pressure is by having it checked at your
local pharmacy. 'If you consistently have a
reading of 140/90, you have high blood
pressure,' says Dr Rob Hicks, a GP and author
of Control Your Blood Pressure.
