little more than an idea. Then

in 1989 and everything changed.
Phone technology was also
embryonic - Motorola released
its first handheld mobile phone in
1983 and it took almost a decade
before they were widespread.
Eighties kids couldn't imagine
life without TV and music; for
their children, 'offline only' is very
difficult to comprehend. So, has
technology made things better?
