after Communities Minister Sajid
Javid ﬁnally published his plans to
'ﬁx our broken market'. I would argue
there are plenty of aﬀordable houses, but in areas
with few jobs, so people don't want to live there.
Instead of building more, we should be looking
for a long-term solution and improving transport
links, so we take people and job opportunities to
the houses. This would both create more chances
for people to get on the property ladder and also
improve neglected buildings.
But the reality is more people are longterm renters who need secure tenancies,
