MEASURE UP
DO YOU KNOW HOW - AND WHERE - TO
MEASURE PROPERLY BEFORE BUYING
BLINDS FOR ALL OF YOUR ROOMS?
WE'VE GOT IT COVERED...
1
DECISIONS
Where should your blinds hang? On the
inside of the recess or on the outside?
It's important to decide as this will affect
where you take the measurements.
2
INSIDE
This is suitable for bathrooms or
where you're short of space and want
to keep a dressing as flush to the wall as
possible (or if you are using multiple panels
in a bay window).

OUTSIDE
Placing blinds outside the window will
make it look larger and suit a shallow
recess. Bear in mind, though, that when
closed, a blind placed outside the recess will
limit access to objects on the window sill.

MEASURE UP
Use a metal rule and take three
measurements - one at each end and
one in the middle - in case the width varies.
LOOK AROUND
Take into account when measuring for
your blind any obstacles that may get
in the way - is there a door knob or radiator
that will interfere with it when hanging?
