It turns out that your 60s and 70s
could be the happiest time of your
life. A Medical Research Council
survey, which has followed the
health of 1,700 participants since
birth, revealed people's average
sense of wellbeing improved
between the ages of 60-64 and
approaching 70 - despite many
having at least one chronic disease
such as arthritis or diabetes.
